Our dress code

The dress code in GRAND CASINO BASEL is very simple: light and neat.

The same applies to the suit and tie as to the cocktail dress: they are welcome, but not compulsory. Men are allowed to adjust shoes and trousers to the seasons, in summer, for example, short trousers and sandals are allowed. Swimming trunks and flip-flops should, however, be left at home – just like sleeveless t-shirts for men and garments with provocative messages.

We request your understanding if our staff should point out to you that the clothing regulations have to be observed.

No compulsory dressing
Voluntary evening dress
No flip-flops
No swimming trunks
No sleeveless T-shirts

Your arrival

The GRAND CASINO BASEL is located exactly between the EuroAirport Basel and the city centre. We are easily accessible from everywhere and offer you a free, supervised car park during your stay.

With your own vehicle

Our casino is only a few hundred metres from the border with France and Germany and is very close to the nearest motorway exit.

Coming from Switzerland or Germany, take the A2/A3 motorway in the direction of France/EuroAirport. Take the exit "Basel-EuroAirport" and then turn left towards EuroAirport.

Coming from France, take the A35 motorway via the Basel/Saint-Louis motorway toll. Take the exit "Basel-Kannenfeld" and turn left. After about 200m, you will reach a crossroads where you turn left again.

The last meters
Turn left at the next roundabout and then drive around the Casino (the red building) and the adjacent Airport Hotel Basel to the right to get to the car parks.

To the route planner

By public transport

By airport bus
Bus number 50 (the airport bus) stops in both directions directly in front of the Casino. The corresponding bus stop is called "Friedrich-Miescher-Strasse". By the way, the airport bus runs from Basel SBB / Basel SNCF railway station to the EuroAirport - and back again, of course. Depending on the traffic volume, the journey from the station takes about 10 minutes and from the airport about half that time, i.e. 5 minutes.

From Basel Badischer Bahnhof
If your train goes to Basel Bad Bf, take tram line 6 in the direction of Allschwil to the "Schifflände" stop (approx. 7 minutes). From there, take bus number 36 in the direction of Kleinhüningen to the "Im Wasenboden" stop (approx. 7 minutes) and then bus number 50 in the direction of EuroAirport (approx. 2 minutes) to the "Friedrich-Miescher-Strasse" stop.

From St. Johann railway station
From St. Johann railway station, you can also take bus number 50 from "Im Wasenboden" in the direction of the airport - or you can easily reach us on foot.
